Fukumoto Engineering, Inc.





Responsible for assisting with professional civil engineering design, including, preparing construction drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, schedules, and reports; obtaining government approvals; reviewing construction submittals; observing construction; and maintaining client relations on assigned project.

Specific duties may include:
• Preparation of topographic, boundary, and subdivision maps.
• Preparation of preliminary engineering reports including analysis of grading and drainage, utility systems, and costs.
• Design of streets and subdivisions, including grading, water systems, wastewater systems, drainage systems, pavements, and walkways.
• Design of site improvements including grading, parking lots, driveways, and utility systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
• Preparation of project manuals, schedules, and opinions of construction cost.
• Preparation of drainage reports including hydrologic and hydraulic computations.
• Review of construction submittals including manufacturer’s data and specifications.
• Coordination with client and other consultants.

Also responsible for surveying work, including research, computations, field surveys, and preparation of maps and descriptions.

Other duties include, but are not limited to assisting with document production and supervising engineering technicians.


Graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in civil engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer or desire to obtain license.

Knowledge of current civil engineering, land surveying, and construction principles and practices, and methods of construction document production. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, AutoCAD, and general-purpose land surveying and civil engineering computation and design software.

Able to plan and organize work, supervise technicians, prepare written letters, memos, and reports, and work harmoniously with others.
