Take a look at some of our completed projects that were submitted for Project of the Year.
Each year, the Hawaii Society of Professional Engineers (HSPE) - Maui Chapter facilitates a Project of the Year competition to help highlight infrastructure projects beneficial to Maui County. Many industry leaders participate and submit projects that are reviewed and evaluated on the following criteria:
Engineering difficulty
Construction difficulty
Environmental considerations
Public benefit
The Project of the Year competition is part of Engineers Week (or EWeek), a week dedicated to promoting and celebrating the skilled and influential work of engineers. It is held annually in February in close conjunction with George Washington’s birthday (who many believe to be our nation’s first engineer with his land surveying work).
